Light to Unite

On July 4, 2026, let us shine together.

Light to Unite
Presented by Navy Federal Credit Union

As America approaches its 250th birthday, the National Flag Foundation calls on Americans to rise in a resounding display of unity and patriotism. Through Light to Unite, citizens across the country are called to honor our Flag and illuminate cities, towns, and landmarks in red, white, and blue, symbolizing our shared heritage, freedom, and unity.

From the heart of bustling cities to the quiet streets of small towns, the vision is bold: a nation aglow, not just in color, but in shared mission and remembrance. These lights symbolize our past sacrifices, our present resilience, and our unwavering hope for the future. Light to Unite invites us all to stand together, one Flag, one nation, under God.

How to take part

Three ways to shine together

01

Fly the Flag

On July 4, 2026, fly the Stars and Stripes at your home, business, or community, a shared display of pride from coast to coast.

02

Light red, white & blue

As night falls, light your building, bridge, landmark, or front porch in red, white, and blue, a nation aglow in shared mission and remembrance.

03

Share the light

Tag @nationalflagfoundation and #LightToUnite so we can celebrate communities lighting up together across all fifty states.
